Prepare your walls :

LOFT Raw Concrete can be applied on all sound, clean, dry and perfectly smooth surfaces (in particular plasterboard strips, gyps and press wood walls). It is not made to cover up imperfections.

With a large paint brush or roller, apply one or two coats of Undercoat Primer for Wall coatings. Let the painted surface dry completely ±6 hours at 20°C. Do not apply on wall paper.

Slack lime powder and it's effect :

LOFT Raw comes with a 100g bag slack lime. Open it carefully and dilute it with lukewarm water, then mix with LOFT Raw paste. This added element will give the covered wall nuances and depth like real concrete. Make sure you mix the two products really well. A paint mixer is mandatory for this step. Once mixed, product should be used quickly (±48hrs).

Please note that the London color doesn't need any lime addition therefore doesn't come with slack lime.

Application:

Using our Stainless Steel trowel, apply a thin coat (2mm) to your wall. Work on areas of approximately 20 to 30 sq.ft. Once surface is well covered, using a clean tool re-create a pattern. Make sure to keep regular and even strokes for the whole wall. We suggest that you start in a upper corner of your wall and work your way down diagonally to the opposite lower corner.
Let LOFT Raw dry for ±30 minutes or up to ±2 hours. Then, with a sponge or a water sprayer, lightly humidify the surface (work on ±20 to 30 sqft at one time). With a Stainless steel trowel, scrape off any undesired peaks and polish the softened surface using circular movements. This step will create the smooth raw concrete look.

Protection:

To make the surface water and stain resistant, apply one coat of Clear Protector. Let LOFT Raw dry completely, at least 24 hours,  before applying the protector.

Professional tips :

• Do a test sample before applying. It will allow you to feel the texture and will facilitate the application on the wall.
• Work your wall by area of 20 to 30 sq. ft. diagonally.
• You have coating left over? If you haven't added the slack lime in it, put a plastic wrap to protect the coating from the air and keep well sealed at room temperature for future use.
